DETAILED ITINERARY

 

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN YANGON

Description: Welcome to Myanmar with an easy first day designed to help the whole family settle in and relax.

Arrive at Yangon International Airport, where your local guide welcomes the family before transferring you to your hotel.

After check-in, the remainder of the afternoon is free to relax, enjoy the swimming pool and recover from the journey.

In the evening, gather for a relaxed family welcome dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 2 – YANGON FAMILY DISCOVERY

Description: Discover Yangon through golden pagodas, colourful neighbourhoods and local life on an engaging introduction to Myanmar.

After breakfast, begin a relaxed exploration of Yangon.

Visit the impressive Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha, where children can learn about Buddhist traditions and the meaning behind the enormous Buddha image.

Continue through Yangon’s historic centre, discovering interesting architecture, street scenes and local markets.

Stop at a traditional tea house to experience an important part of everyday Myanmar life.

Return to the hotel during the afternoon for some pool and relaxation time.

In the late afternoon, visit magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda as the golden stupa begins to glow in the evening light.

DAY 3 – LOCAL MARKET, FAMILY COOKING & LEISURE

After breakfast, transfer for your journey to Bagan using the most comfortable operating connection available.
